Debating Moonbats
On 8/15/04 and 8/20/04 I attended counter anti-war protests in the Seattle area put together by the local chapter of Protest Warriors. I was surprised to find out that despite the effort the anti-war protesters spent to organize and attend these protests they seemingly did not spend the additional time to study up on the issues as they found themselves unable to substantiate even the simplest of their tired clichés.
Operation “Heat Wave”
Operation “S.N.O.W. Melt”
This is the writeup I made of these events:
On August 15th and 20th 2004 Protest Warrior members from the Washington State Seattle, Redmond, and Tacoma chapters executed Operation Heat Wave in Seattle and Operation S.N.O.W. Melt in
Redmond respectively. We joined forces to shine a bright light on the left’s morally and intellectually bankrupt positions for the rest of the world to see.
In Operation Heat Wave our numbers initially equaled those on the left, but soon after the event began our numbers swelled to approximately 3 times that of our opponents. At the beginning the lefties appeared confused and did not know quite what to make of our “Bring back F$$D for OIL!” and “Communism has only killed a 100 million people. Let’s give it another chance!” signs. However, that confusion gave way to frustration and finally to ad hominem attacks as they found themselves unable to substantiate even the simplest of their tired clichés.
In Operation S.N.O.W. Melt we faced a contingency of lefties that outnumbered us. Undeterred we infiltrated their ranks and began to ask them to explain the meaning of their signs which said, among other things:
- “How do you ask a soldier to die/kill for a lie?”
- “Bush lied, 1000s died”
- “Bush 2004, Four more Wars”
- “Strength Through Peace”
The person holding the first sign said they were not there to have a dialog. The second person was speechless and had trouble making eye contact with me when I asked her to persuade me that what her sign said was true. The third person illustrated a perfect example of the logical fallacy of circular reasoning when attempting to explain the cause of the war against militant Islam. Finally, the fourth person retorted to my line of questioning with a cordial “Get the f**k out of here!!!”
I recorded the interviews and debates I had with the lefties at both operations. In the video you will find leftist gems such as:
- “A terrorist move [Bush] made was to impoverish the people that worked at Harken Energy”
- [Bush is a terrorist because] there were 117 people murdered in the state of
Texas when he was governor and he signed the death warrant for them” - “I’m embarrassed by what this country does”
- “[offering me a
U.S. flag] reminds me of what the Germans used to do back in the 30s” - “[the
U.S.] government has outdone the Nazis” - “[the
U.S.] government taught the Nazis how to do it” - “[I want to impeach Bush] because of war crimes”
- “You’re full of sh*t!”
- “I can’t say if we were justified in fighting during the second world war”
- “We’re not here to have a dialog”
This record is here for mainstream America to evaluate for themself how reasonable the anti-war left is.

Great that’s the way to go. Let’s ridicule these leftist moonbats with great arguments. So we can bring total US domination to the world, trash Irak, anihilate Libanon, crush Syria and nuke Iran.
The world needs an armagedon and new worldwar
> Let’s ridicule these leftist moonbats with great arguments
So by your own admission I used great arguments. Thank you.
Are you against the use of great arguments to advance one’s position?
> So we can bring total US domination
You’ve committed the logical fallacy called non-sequitur (http://www.infidels.org/library/modern/mathew/logic.html#nonseq)
